Como West Public School 75th Anniversary Celebration Colour Run- Student Event Only Date: 20th October Time: Across the school day Colour Run- A Splash of Fun and Year 6 Fundraising! Students will take turns with their class racing around an inflatable obstacle course, getting showered in vibrant, non-toxic colour powder at each station. It’s a day of teamwork, fitness, and fun—all in support of a Year 6 students. Decades Disco -Student Event Only Date: 21st October Time: Across the school day Decade Disco Day – Celebrating 75 Years of Our School! Students will be assigned a specific decade—such as the '70s, '80s, or '90-and are encouraged to dress in styles from that era. Throughout the day, they'll participate in a lively disco dance with their class and enjoy decade-themed quizzes covering major events, pop culture, and school history from the past 75 years. It's a fun-filled day of learning, dancing, and celebrating our school's rich history! 75th Anniversary Official Opening Ceremony - Whole school Community Event Date: 22nd October Time: 9:30am Location: Basketball Court at Como West Public School We invite all past, present, and future members of the Como West community to join us for a special assembly celebrating our school's 75-year history. The event will feature speeches, performances by our band, choir, and every student performing in a dance item, and the official sealing of our time capsule. A display of school memorabilia will be available for viewing, and families and visitors are invited to explore our open classrooms. Come be part of this memorable occasion as we honor our school's legacy and look forward to its future. Old School Bell Scavenger Hunt - School Event Only Date: 23rd October Time: Across the school day. Our beloved old school bell has gone missing! Students and teachers will team up in class for a fun scavenger hunt, using clues hidden around the school to track it down! ComoWestFest - Whole school Community Event Date: 24th October Time: 5 - 9pm P&C ComoWest Fest Night Markets – Celebrating 75 Years of Como West Public School The P&C are delighted to invite you to the ComoWest Fest Night Markets, a vibrant celebration of our school's 75-year history. Join us for an evening filled with delicious food, exciting stalls, and live entertainment. It's a fantastic opportunity to connect with the community and enjoy a fun-filled night out.
