Students can join the school's ‘Green Team' , an environmental group which explores issues of concern in the school environment and local community. The ‘Green Team' has held waste audits and ‘Waste Free' lunch days in order to raise awareness in the school about excessive litter and to help minimise waste.
The school also promotes paper recycling in every class and food scraps are placed in compost bins for use on the school's vegetable patch. This year, the Green Team have established an extensive vegetable garden in raised garden beds. Green Team members are responsible for planting, watering and caring for the veggie gardens
